In 2010 the UK Department of Transport released a report exploring attitudes towards cycling; current cycling behavior; and, awareness of, participation in, and experience of “bikeability.” Launched in 2007, Bikeability is the government’s flagship cycle training program, designed to give people the skills and confidence to ride on roads.
