Scientists for Cycling (International)

Scientists for Cycling is an international network of academics and individuals actively engaged in applied research, teaching and dissemination from all disciplines interested in cycling and cycling related topics. The group works to exchange their knowledge and research to improve cycling.

The group was established in 2010 by the European Cyclists' Federation. The main aims of the network are to:

  • Build a strong pro cycling scientific community
  • Bridge the gap between the research on cycling issues  and cycling advocates
  • Disseminate the latest scientific-based publications on cycling
  • Assist in developing the Velo-city conference program
  • Build up a more research based approach to cycling advocacy
